Flight saga - skip if not interested :)
Air Canada booked us to Munich on a connecting flight through Montreal that gave us 50 minutes to make our connection. Logan Airport has a well kept secret. At Terminal B there is a very small area with it's own security that serves gates 1 - 3 only and each of the three gates was awaiting an Air Canada flight. This was actually Air Canada Express (which is a misnomer!) The plane from Gate 2 had not yet left Toronto when it was supposed to leave Boston. Gate 3 ended up boarding a plane for Toronto the same time Gate 2 was. Our plane was not yet at Gate 1 when we were due to board. When we finally did, they took my regulation size carry on suitcase from me and assured me it would be ready at Montreal. We left Logan 20 minutes late.
When we arrived in Montreal they were calling our flight to Munich. We had to wait for my suitcase to be brought to the deplaning site. We waited and waited until finally it was unloaded with all the other checked luggage but at the gate - not the baggage claim. Had I known, I would have checked it through and not had to wait.
They were announcing they were closing the gate on our Munich flight when my bag finally arrived. Then we had to run what was probably over a half mile - thank Godde for people movers - 4 of them , We were the last to board our plane. From then on the flight was unremarkable.
