I wrote this entire post last night but it seems to have disappeared so I will attempt to reconstruct it.
If you expect to read about all the places tourists go you will be disappointed. We love to just live in a place as the people here do.
Today is Saturday and the weather is perfect. We decided to take a long walk. I will record our experiences and observations. Time does not allow for the kind of editing and organizing I would like to do. I have discovered that is the nature of blogging when traveling.
Munich is a very bike friendly city. Most of the main streets have wide bike paths next to the walking paths and they are well used.

| We deliberately took this with no bikes so the path is clear. |

| Interesting concept - place singing bowls of different tones on the chakras |
 |
| walking and bike path to the right - taken form bridge |
 |
| Many streets look like this - bikes everywhere |
 |
| A well used playground - I wanted to join them on the tires ! :) |

| This May Pole is decorated with LGBT affirmative signs |

| More building art |
A Protestant church. Many of the newer ones are in converted apartment buildings such as this one. A bit like the Paulist Center in Boston.
 |
| Entrance to a very old cemetery |
This cemetery reminds me a bit of Mt Auburn in Cambridge. It is full of beautiful old trees and flowers and places to sit. Many of those buried here have streets who bear their names.

| I wonder what he did to be remembered this way! |

We stopped at a wondeful cafe for a drink and pastry and good conversation with our student waiter. He spent 13 years in the San Francisco area but has returned to Germany where he is getting his B.A. in Physics and then M.A. and Ph. D with nearly free tuition. He knows that would not be possible in the states. He will pay something like 550 Euro's a year. We in the US call that Socialism (hear loud angry rumbles) and don't even dare to vote on such things.

| This is the building we are staying in. At the VERY top where you can see see the brown window is where we are staying. |
Our WONDERFUL hosts, Emre and Daniela on their terrace. We enjoyed the evening with the most delicious vegan pizza, an organic green salad and a nice wine. We talked long about our lives, the state of our countries, our life experiences, things that are important to us. Daniela and Emre are very committed vegans due to the extreme cruelty in the meat, poultry, and fishing industries and the amount of food it takes to raise a small amount of meat. We will be thinking more on those issues thanks to them.
